CORD co-principal and former Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka is bereaved.
The VP lost his only sister who passed away at the Nairobi Hospital where she had been admitted.
Mrs Lilian Koki Mutui passed on Tuesday night.
‘My late mother gave birth to just the two of us and it is unfortunate that my only sister has left us,’ the ex-VP said.
She leaves behind her husband and five children among them Peter Mutui, who is a clerk at the Kwale County Assembly.
She will be buried on Saturday 4th April at her Kwale home.
ODM leader Raila Odinga, President Uhuru Kenyatta and other leaders are said to have called the former VP to express their condolences.
