YOU WONT BELIEVE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY BEING USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE 700KM WALL ALONG THE KENYA SOMALI BORDER
Just days after the heinous attack on Garissa University College by the Alshabaab militants that claimed the lives of over 148 innocent people, the government started the construction of the ambitious 700km wall along the Kenya Somali border in a bid to cub the frequent attack by the militants on the Kenyan soil.
The construction of the wall is not a bad idea,however, the million allocated to the project is what will shock the taxpayer because they will have to deep even more into there pocket at the time the Kenyan economy is at stake.
Well, according to the interior ministry spokesman, Mwenda Njoka, the anti terror wall will be a state of the art which will be fitted with barbed electric fence and trenches and hence very expensive.
He continue by saying that the walls will cost Kenyans ksh200 million for every kilometer the figure which translate to a whopping ksh 140billion for the 700km to be complete exclusive of maintenance cost which is always higher.
